Q: What is NeoValentinian Apocryphal Christianity?
A tradition I have begun due to my studies into Gnosticism and Esoterica. I am not an authority I am a learner and I want this tradition to develop with help from fellow travelers.
Most broadly, it is a belief in Jesus Christ as a philosopher and enlightener. Not the son of the Biblical YHWH, but the son of the Monad, a prime mover above all. The belief incorporates writings from Valentinus and his followers in the first centuries AD, on the nature of the world, the mind, and the soul.
The goal of NVAC is for practitioners to improve their lives in this world and prepare for the next world when their bodies die. It is meant to give peace of mind and a higher purpose in an era where dogma has overtaken the Christian church and society at large.
It is for rational seekers, for self improvers, and spiritual people who want to KNOW the nature of our reality.
